Scope of these terms

These Terms apply to all visitors, customers and end-users of the Services worldwide. They form a binding agreement between you and us. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must stop using the Services.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into a binding agreement to use the Services. By using the Services, you confirm that you meet these requirements.

Your account

To use the API and other features, you must create an account with a valid email address and password. You are responsible for keeping your account secure and for all activity carried out under your account. You must notify us immediately if you believe your account has been compromised.

Subscriptions and billing

We offer paid subscription plans that provide a set number of credits for API usage per billing cycle. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date. Payments are processed securely by our payment provider, and you authorise recurring charges to your chosen payment method. We may change our pricing with at least 30 days’ notice. If payment fails, we may suspend or terminate your access to the Services.

Refunds, cancellations and plan changes

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Your cancellation will take effect at the end of your current billing cycle, and you will retain access to the Services until then. We do not provide refunds or partial credits for unused time or unused API credits, unless required by applicable law.

If you upgrade your subscription, you will be charged immediately for the new plan, and your new credits will be added to your existing balance. If you downgrade, the change will take effect immediately, and your new plan’s credits will also be added to your existing balance. Any remaining credits from your previous plan will stay available until the end of your current billing cycle. At the start of each new billing cycle, your credits will be reset to match the allocation for your current plan, and any unused credits from the previous cycle will be removed.

Use of the API

Your subscription grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the API for lawful purposes. You must comply with any usage limits, rate limits and fair-use rules we set. You may not use the API for illegal activities, infringe third-party rights, attempt to bypass technical restrictions, or cause harm to the Services.

Intellectual property

All content, software, and technology used in or provided through the Services are owned by MapleSerp or our licensors. Using the Services does not give you ownership of any intellectual property rights in them.

Service availability

We aim to keep the Services running smoothly, but we do not guarantee that they will always be available. We may temporarily suspend or change the Services for maintenance, updates or other reasons.

Termination

We may suspend or close your account if you breach these Terms, fail to pay subscription fees, or misuse the Services. You may close your account at any time, and your subscription will end at the close of your current billing period. Unused credits will not be refunded unless required by law.

Disclaimers

The Services are provided “as is” and “as available”, without any warranty or guarantee. We do not warrant that the Services will be error-free, uninterrupted, or meet your specific needs.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, or for any loss of profits, revenue, or data, arising from your use of the Services.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in London, United Kingdom.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are material, we will post a prominent notice on our website and, where required, notify you by email. The “Last updated” date at the top of the page shows when changes last took effect. Your continued use of the Services after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
